Everything you need to know about Stream Run — from getting set up to making the most of every feature.
Getting Started
Stream Run is your streaming operating system — it connects to your Twitch and YouTube accounts and turns your channel stats into a personalised daily action plan.
Here's how to get set up:
- Create a free account at streamrun.app or download the app on iOS / Android.
- Go to Settings → Platforms and connect Twitch and/or YouTube via OAuth.
- Go to Settings → Goals and tell Stream Run what you're working towards (grow viewers, post more clips, stream more consistently).
- Your first set of Daily Tasks will appear on the Tasks tab within minutes.
You only need to connect one platform to get started. Connecting both gives you richer tasks and combined stats.
Daily Tasks
Every morning Stream Run analyses your recent stats and generates a fresh set of personalised tasks. These aren't generic tips — they're built around your channel's actual data and your goals.
Task types:
Clip
Edit and post a clip from your recent VOD
Grow
Community posts, collabs, networking actions
Plan
Schedule streams, set goals, prepare content
Free plan: 5 tasks per day.
Pro plan: 4 tasks per day.
Tap a task to expand it. Check it off once done. Tasks reset the next morning with a fresh set. Completing all tasks contributes to your streak.
Tasks are generated once per day. If today's tasks haven't appeared, make sure your platforms are connected in Settings.
Stats
The Stats tab shows your channel performance across Twitch and YouTube in one unified view. No more switching between dashboards.
What you can see:
- Average concurrent viewers
- Total hours streamed
- Follower / subscriber growth
- Total views
- Clips created
- Recent VODs
Free: 7-day stats window.
Pro: 30-day stats window + extended VOD history.
Stats refresh automatically. If you're not seeing recent data, go to Settings → Platforms and reconnect your account.
Streak
Your streak counts the number of consecutive days you've completed all your daily tasks. It resets to zero if you miss a day.
The streak is intentionally simple — it's a nudge to keep showing up, not a punishment. It lives at the top of the Tasks tab so you're always aware of it.
Completing your checklist tasks counts towards the streak too, if you've pinned a checklist to today's tasks.
Stream Journal
The Journal lets you log a quick entry after each stream. Over time it helps you spot patterns — what kinds of streams feel best, what you keep meaning to improve, what's actually working.
Each entry includes:
- Mood rating (1–5)
- Energy rating (1–5)
- Free-text notes — what happened, what to do differently, memorable moments
Entries are sorted newest-first. Tap any entry to read it in full or edit it. You can create as many entries as you like — one per stream is the intended rhythm.
Clip Planner
FreeThe Clip Planner is a kanban-style board for tracking your short-form clip ideas from start to finish. Never lose a clip idea mid-stream again.
Three columns:
Ideas
Raw clip ideas captured during or after stream. Include a VOD timestamp if you have one.
In Progress
Clips you've started editing or have recorded.
Posted
Clips you've published to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, or anywhere else.
Drag cards between columns as you work through them. Add a title, notes, and an optional VOD URL to each card.
Use clip ideas from your daily tasks as a starting point — they already reference your recent VODs.
Stream Checklists
ProStream Checklists give you a daily pre-stream and post-stream routine. They reset every day so you start fresh each stream, and you can pin them to your Tasks view for easy access.
The two default checklists:
🟢 Pre-Stream
- Set stream title & category
- Check audio levels
- Preview all scenes
- Enable stream alerts
- Note talking points or goals
- Set up polls / channel points
- Check internet speed
🔵 Post-Stream
- Mark 3 memorable moments
- Note 1 thing that worked well
- Note 1 thing to improve
- Add clip ideas to planner
- Share VOD link to socials
- Reply to VOD / chat comments
How to use:
- Go to Tools → Stream Checklists.
- Expand a checklist and tap items to check them off as you work through them.
- Tap Add to today's tasks to pin a checklist to your Tasks tab for quick access throughout the day.
- Checklist progress resets automatically each day.
Pin your pre-stream checklist before going live and your post-stream checklist afterwards — both stay visible on your Tasks tab all day.
Growth Sprints
ProGrowth Sprints are structured 7, 14, or 30-day challenges designed to push your channel forward in a focused area. Each sprint has daily actions that compound over time.
Sprint categories include consistency challenges, clip output goals, community growth, and content planning. Start a sprint, track your daily progress, and finish stronger than you started.
Sprints work best when you run one at a time alongside your regular daily tasks.
Clip Editor
ProThe Clip Editor lets you create composite short-form clips directly from your Twitch VODs — no software needed, it all runs in the browser.
What you can do:
- Paste a Twitch VOD URL and pick a start timestamp and duration
- Add a second clip (composite clips layer two moments together)
- Crop to vertical 9:16 format for Shorts, TikTok, and Reels
- Add AI-generated captions from the stream audio
- Export and upload directly to YouTube Shorts
Requirements:
- Twitch account connected in Settings → Platforms
- VOD must be public (not subscriber-only)
- Twitch VODs expire after 14–60 days depending on your account level
Clip ideas from your daily tasks often reference recent VODs with timestamps — use them as your starting point in the editor.

FreeThe Resources tab is a curated library of tools, guides, and links to help you grow your stream — handpicked by the Stream Run team.

Platform Connections
Stream Run connects to Twitch and YouTube via OAuth — you authorise Stream Run to read your channel data, and we fetch your stats automatically. We never post on your behalf.
How do I connect Twitch or YouTube?
Go to Settings → Platforms and tap the Connect button next to the platform you want to add. You'll be redirected to authorise the connection.
How do I disconnect a platform?
Go to Settings → Platforms and tap Disconnect. This permanently removes your access token from our system.
Why does Stream Run need access to my channel?
We read your viewer counts, hours streamed, follower growth, VODs, and clips to generate your daily tasks and display your stats. We never write to your channel or post anything.
FAQ
My daily tasks haven't appeared today.
Make sure at least one platform is connected in Settings → Platforms. Tasks are generated once per day from your stats. If your connection is new, tasks may appear within the next few minutes.
I'm not seeing my clips or VODs.
Twitch VODs expire after 14–60 days. Clips are public so they should always appear. If neither shows up, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Twitch account in Settings → Platforms.
The clip editor says my VOD is unavailable.
The VOD may have expired or been set to subscriber-only. Try a more recent VOD, or check your Twitch privacy settings to ensure the VOD is public.
How do I delete my account?
Email us at streamrunhq@gmail.com and we'll delete your account and all associated data within 5 business days.
Is Stream Run available on mobile?
Yes — Stream Run is available on iOS and Android. The mobile app includes the full feature set: tasks, stats, journal, clip planner, checklists, and more.
Can I use Stream Run without connecting a platform?
You can create an account and explore the app, but daily tasks and stats require at least one platform to be connected. The journal and clip planner work without a platform connection.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Email streamrunhq@gmail.com with as much detail as possible — what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and which device/platform you were on.
